Convert WMC Files to .dvr-ms
.Wtc file has change to dvr-ms file format in windows 7 as that was the old version of Media Center for Recorded TV.
Now to convert the recorded live TV files to MP4 / h.264 using iPodifier, first convert .wtc files to .dvr-ms file. So conversion is very simple just right click on .wtv file and chose “convert to .dvr-ms format”.

If there are lot of recordings than you can use Wtv Watcher facility.
Install & Setup iPodifier
If there is no iPodifier then download and install latest version through wizard and accept defaults.

First time when you launch it you will have to go through with setup wizard.

In this window you can chose add the transcoded video to iTunes for iPodifier and synchronize wit iPod or not. If there is list of recorded TV for converting and synchronize then check these two options.

Then the next window will be of Setup the video encoder CPU priority. Priority mean how much multitasking you are performing. You may choose idle if you are low on system resources.

After the couple of screens the basic setup is finish. Now here is your choice to work with wizard or click on “you can run the setup video source wizard later”.

Here you can stop to see iPodifier offers. And also here you can begin using the program.

Video Sources
Now for open the video sources just click on “Video Source Wizard” on the left side of the window.

Write easy name for new video source like LIVE TV or Movies.

Here chose the source video type. For example in the screenshot TV Show and MCE for the DVR software selected.

Here you need to define the path where Recorded TV is stored.

We have told you before that Recorded TV files has replaced from .dvr-ms to .wtv format. Since we are converting video file with extension .dvr-ms to .wtv but these are not converting.

Select h.264 for video codec for file and better quality. You can also chose mpeg4.

On the next window you need to select encoding quality. There are three options it depends on you to select one of them. This is also depending on you that how much space and time you have to encode on the device.

Next window is for the resolution, in the screen we have selected 480×320 for iPod Touch. Custom resolution can also be selected.

Next screen will show you the details of your settings. On this point you can change the setting by going back. We can change these settings at any time also.

When you will finish the setup, you will see the list of recorded shows. Select Enable transcoding for recorded TV queue

Now you have to wait while the process is complete. You can also see the size of the recorded TV files.

You will get the message of done when the encoding process will complete.
