Shortcut to Clear Clipboard Windows 7

Here we are going to tell you that how you can clear the clipboard with shortcut or with hotkey. This is very useful when you copy anything to the clipboard for your easiness and do not share with other when your system uses by some other users then you can clear it with shortcut.

You have also the built in facility of clip.exe in Windows 7 or in Vista. This is not for to clear the clipboard but you can do it by adding little command line to the shortcut.

 

 

 

 

 

It’s very helpful in the case when you copy large data to clipboard and you do not want to waste memory any more.

 

Create a Shortcut Icon to Clear the Clipboard

 

 

Anywhere in the desktop right click on it select new then shortcut from the menu.

 

 

Then write this line in the location box.

 

cmd /c “echo off | clip”

 

 

Here you will see the shortcut icon which will clear the clipboard. We will do it future.

 

 

Now just right click on the icon and select properties there you will see the label of run from drop down select “Minimized” which will make sure that you have not seen  command prompt . Here you can also write hotkey for this shortcut.

  

 

If you want to change the icon then just clicks on Change icon button. The file will open from where you can select the clipboard icon.

 So you can see the shortcut with icon which will clear clipboard.

 

For the windows XP you need to download clip.exe from  Microsoft  and save it to windows directory. Then it will work for you better.
