Here we are going to tell you that how you can quickly turn of the icon of desktop with the shortcut. This is very helpful when there are many icon s on the desktop and you want to on or off them.

Create a Shortcut to Toggle the Desktop Icons

This can be done by also small utility that is right click on the desktop and toggle the “ Show Desktop Icons ” item.

Setting Up the Shortcut:

For the setting of the shortcut you need to download HideDesktopIcons application and do not save it at desktop, save it where it will not  Delete . You can also save it in the Program Files folder.

In the windows 7 you just need to right click on the file and select “Pin to Start Menu” or “Pin to Taskbar”. It’s up to you to select the desired option. In snapshoot we have selected “Pin to Start Menu” so that we can assign hotkey also.

In the previous version of windows it can be put in launch bar so for this open the explorer and type this in the address bar.

Shell:Quick Launch:

Here the imported thing is that hotkey not work if the shortcut is in the Quick Launch bar so for that you need to copy it to Start Menu.

Now you can see the shortcut which is use for quick access.

For the shortcut key you just need to right click on the shortcut and select properties to assign the shortcut key. Like in snapshoot the key is Ctrl+Alt+D.

Now with the help of shortcut icon or shortcut key you can access the desktop icon.
